This behind-the-scenes video captures mixed-media artist, Nekisha Durrett during a visit to Dorchester County, MD to collect raw materials for a commissioned portrait of Harriet Tubman paired with visuals of Durrett in her art studio working on the piece. The inspiration for the video came to Durrett after hearing the audio recording of ceramist Magdalene Odundo featured on the Great Women Artist Podcast, hosted by Kathy Hessel. This video was created to honor Earth Day and Harriet Tubman.
